Hello, anyone there?
*Crickets*
Just me eh? Ah well I'm sure people will turn up soon.
Well to start I'm happy to report we survived back to school season, and with most of our mental faculties! Not to say there weren't shenanigans and people doing stupid shit cause there was plenty of that, but I came out relatively unscathed. Working 7 days straight is not fun though I will say that, but I'll deal with that instead of working doubles like my poor store manager had to do. And they wonder why we're going crazy XD.
Munchkin is also doing well! He's discovered his toes which is just as adorable as you'd imagine it is and he continues to grow and learn new things and, to quote Hamilton, "blow us all away". I was looking at pictures the other night and it's amazing to see how he's changed and grown in just 5 months! It's amazing, awe inspiring, and a little sad all at the same time. Mostly amazing though <3
I have to say though I've felt rather lonely recently. Like I said before I was looking at pictures the other night and looking at the pictures of him meeting his Auntie's and my friends and everyone and I realized, in most cases, that was the last time he saw those people. And I felt sad cause these are my friends, these are the people I want to be in his life and he's barely seen them. Now this isn't me asking for sympathy visits, I don't want anyone to think that's what this is. I also know that I've always been more of a homebody than a going out person, but between work and taking care of the little man I just don't have much motivation to go out on my days off. Most times when I have a day off I run a few errands or I work on something around the house, or catch up on the YouTube videos I've been meaning to watch. I always say I'm up for visitors but no one has really taken me up on that offer. I know this is also hitting me harder than it usual since it was my period week last week and hormones but still, won't someone come visit us?
Anyway, enough self-pity, this is a short post so let's end with a nice story. Yesterday was grandparents day and even more importantly it was my parent's first grandparents day! We (I say we but really this was mommy's doing) got them a card and "Llama Llama Gram and Grandpa" book that they can read together! He also wore his "Grandma's price charming" onesie and when he gets a little older he has a shirt that says "Gramps Rocks" so I'm glad their first Grandparents day was a nice one.
Well, that's all for now. If you made it through the mopey part to the end here then I thank you for letting me vent, even if it is a one sided conversation it does still help since I know at least a few people are out there reading and "listening" to me so thank you, dear reader. Until we meet again!
